A clipped Medieval silver penny of Edward IV dating to 1465-83AD. Minted at York (Episcopal); probably under Archbishop George Neville. The initial mark is uncertain. Obverse: Crowned bust facing forwards, unidentifiable objects by neck Reverse: Long cross with quatrefoil in the centre and three pellets in each angle The coin has a diameter of 13.04mm, is 0.52mm thick and weighs 0.5g. Note: this coin is heavily clipped and worn resulting in the loss of most of the legend from both the obverse and reverse.
