A silver coin; probably a penny of Edward IV (1461 – 1483) minted at Dublin. The outside of the coin is severely clipped. It has a diameter of 14.77mm, thickness 0.57mm, weight 0.43g. There is an extra pellet in two quarters of the reverse. A reference for this at the Dublin mint has not yet been found. A similar coin except in that respect is number 6323 in Seaby’s Standard Catalogue Volume II.

A heavily clipped silver halfpenny of later Medieval issue, possibly of the second reign of Edward IV, dating to 1471-1483. Mint of York. It is likely that the obverse bust has further marks near to its neck, particularly on the right side, but these are obscured by severe surface wear. Cf. Withers 2004, p. 29.
