A medieval silver cross and crosslet Tealby type penny of Henry II probably dating to AD 1161-1165. The coin is worn and damaged. The obverse depicts a crowned bust facing obliquely left with a large triangular pellet on the chin and holding a sceptre topped with a fine cross suggesting this is a bust type C. The reverse depicts a short cross with crosslets in each quarter. The mint is Canterbury. Uncertain moneyer. North nos 956 or 957 (North, JJ, 1980, English Hammered Coinage Volume I, Spink & Son, London, p 176, nos 956-957).
