A silver Early Medieval cut halfpenny of Edgar the Peaceful (King of Mercia etc AD 957-959; King of all England AD 959-975). Mint: possibly Chester. Moneyer: possibly Thurmod. The coin is cut in half from around half past 4 to around half past 10 on the obverse, and is bent at an angle around 1 o'clock on the obverse. See North (1994) pg.149 no.752.
