Dr Martin Allen has commented that "the coin is from the same dies as J.C. Sadler, The Ipswich Mint c.973-c.1210 A.D. Volume I. Eadgar to Aethelred II c.973-c.1016 A.D. (2010), p. 30, Fig. 13, and from the same obverse die as a coin of Wilebeart (Sadler, p. 31, Fig. 14).
