A complete medieval silver coin; a penny of Henry I (AD 1100 - 1135) dating from about AD 1125 - 1135. Quadrilateral on cross fleury reverse type. The legends are illegible. The coin is worn and battered around the edges. Compare North (1994) number 871 on page 198. The coin is 19.1mm diameter, 0.6mm thick and 1.25g.

Medieval clipped hammered silver coin of Henry I, a cut haflpenny. It is a quadrilateral on cross fleury type and is BMC xv therfore the last issue of Henry's reign. The mint and moneyer are unknown. Though the letters NHE are visible, it was not minted in Bury St Edmunds as the inscription is wrong. Obverse legend should read HENRIC REX. Dates to 1134 or 1135. Length 18mm and width 8mm.
