Medieval clipped hammered silver coin of Henry I, a cut haflpenny. It is a quadrilateral on cross fleury type and is BMC xv therfore the last issue of Henry's reign. The mint and moneyer are unknown. Though the letters NHE are visible, it was not minted in Bury St Edmunds as the inscription is wrong. Obverse legend should read HENRIC REX. Dates to 1134 or 1135.
Length 18mm and width 8mm.
