Reverse: +P[ ]NTL possibly double struck.
Moneyer: Wulfric Mint: Canterbury
John Naylor of the Ashmolean Museum states that the coin is: "Henry I bmc i (North no. 857), 'annulets' issue, with the visible inscription of HNR. This is a rare but previously known variant".
Martin Allen of the Fitzwilliam Museum, states that "The full inscription may have been +P[VLFRIC ON CA]NTL or similar. There is one other known coin of this moneyer in Henry I type 1 (in the British Museum), but…
