A silver penny of King Edgar, moneyer Grind, struck at Lincoln circa AD 973. The type is Edgar's 'Reform Portait' coinage. Ref: J.J. North, no. 752. The obverse appears to be from the same die as an example recorded on the Early Medieval Coin Corpus, no. 1004.0777, part of the Royal Collection, Copenhagen. The type is well known, and the moneyer Grind is known at Lincoln from the following two reigns as well, but the Copenhagen coin is the only recorded example of a coin in his name from Edgar's reform type (c. 973-75).
