A 10th-century silver early-medieval penny of Eadgar (959-975 AD), circumscription cross type, struck at Winchester by Leofric (pre-reform phase, 959 - c. 973 AD; North 749 var.; EMC 2012.0123).
This coin has been bent upwards at around 2 o'clock on the obverse.
Leofric is a new Winchester moneyer for the circumscription cross type.
