A silver, Medieval coin struck for William I at Norwich in the period 1080-3. The type is BMC vii, Profile/Cross and trefoils struck by the moneyer Godwine at the mint of Norwich. The obverse is profile bust right with sceptre and the reverse is Cross pattee with a trefoil in each quarter. Obverse legend reads + PILLELM REX and the reverse reads +GODWINE O NORDPI. Diameter 19.4mm, weight 1.13g
