A silver cut halfpenny of William I (AD 1066-1087), Two stars type (North 845, BMC v) dating to c.AD 1074-77, moneyer: Alnoth (possibly), mint: Shaftesbury (possibly). Ref: North 1994: p. 191. The mint and moneyer attributions are uncertain, the reverse appears to read [  ](N)OÐ ON S(E/F)[  ]. The most likey attribution for this is Alnoth of Shaftesbury.

A silver cut half-penny of William I (AD 1066-1087). Profile / cross fleury type (North N 839), struck early in William's reign, c. AD 1066-1068. As the coin is incomplete it is not possible to ascertain which mint or moneyer the coin the struck by, however the moneyer could be Brihtwi, Brihtword, Brihtwold or Brihtwine. These moneyers struck at several mints across the country.
