A brockage Medieval silver penny of Henry I (1100-1135), probably 'quatrefoil and piles' type dating c.AD1111. Unclear mint and moneyer: North (1994: 197) No. 863.
The coin is a brockage having the same design on the reverse, albeit impressed, as on the obverse. This occurs if a second coin was left in the die during its striking impressing the obverse design of the second coin onto this example.

An incomplete silver medieval penny of Henry I (1100-35), quadrilateral over cross fleury type (type 15; North 871), dating c AD1125-35; mint and moneyer uncertain (see below). Ref: North 1994: p.198.
The coin is incomplete with a crack in the coin which has since suffered damage removing a fragment of the flan. The coin is poorly struck leading to illegibility of inscription.
The only inscription visible on the coin is on the reverse, probably part of a moneyer's name. It reads either [...]DVL[...] or [...]OVL[...], possibilities including Raul/Radulf/Rawulf at Ox…
