A medieval silver penny of Henry I (1100-35), full face/ cross fleury type dating to c.1117 (North 866; BMC x), mint and moneyer uncertain. Ref: Norrth 1994: 197. The coin has been badly doublestruck on both sides, with the coin spinning in the die between strikes, resulting in parts of both obverse and reverse visible on both sides, especially in regard of the inscriptions. The mint may be Southwark or Sudbury given the visible letters SV. On the obverse this may read SVB (Sudbury) although it is uncertain. The coin is also chipped and cracked.

A coin brooch made from a halfpenny of Henry I, Canterbury mint, Moneyer Winedei (North 872), cAD1107 (EMC 2015.0120). The reverse of the coin has been gilded and pierced by six small circular holes of which four are in line. Three holes retain rivets, which are presumably also of silver. Of the three empty holes one has clearly been punched from the obverse.

The coin has a small snick in the edge (at 3 o'clock on the obverse) and the reverse is slightly off-struck. It is bent convexly between 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock on the obverse.
