The coin worn and heavily clipped which has removed all of the obverse inscription and the majority of the reverse inscription.
Obverse: crowned bust facing within inner circle; no other elements of the design survive owing to clipping.
Reverse: long cross dividing the inscription with three pellets in each quarter and a quatrefoil in the centre of the cross.

Incomplete silver groat, probably of Edward IV minted in Ireland, probably dating to 1470 - 1473.
This coin is incomplete, with approximately 50% of the legend on the obverse missing. The breaks are at the tressures from the two o'clock position to the seven o'clock position and there is also a chunk missing from above the crown. the latter damage is more irregular and has left the coin bent towards the reverse in the region of the eleven o'clock position where there is also a small radial crack.
