The die is crudely produced and the obverse legend is: [R]OBERT[V]S [REX ] VIL/LAx/[]. This variety is not listed in Burns though saltires are known dividing the words on the reverse of some dies. The diameter of the coin is 13.0mm, the thickness is 0.47mm and the weight is 0.27g

The obverse depicts a forward facing crowned bust within a tressure of seven arches with three pellets at the cusps. The legend reads ROBERTVS DEI GRA REX S.... with three pellets in a vertical line as stops. The reverse depicts a long cross with three pellets in each angle. The inner legend reads VILL/A ED/INBV/RGH with two small crosses as stops. The outer legend reads DNS PTECTOR MS F LIB ATORMS with means God is my defender and redeemer. The F in the outer legend is retrograde.
