It has been folded then unfolded which has a crack across the coin along the fold. The coin measures 18.4mm (length) x 16.7mm (width) x 0.9mm (thickness) and weighs 0.9g.

A very worn and slightly clipped 14th-century silver medieval penny, a continental imitation of sterling type issued by William of Namur (1337-1391 AD), struck at Namur (c. 1348 - 1391 AD; Mayhew type 361a). Within the Mayhew type 361 pennies, the 361a is closest to this example as it too features a misaligned crown and initial cross on the obverse face.
