A worn cut silver long-cross farthing from a Brabantini of John I, Duke of Brabant and Limburg, Walt type, c.1270-1282 AD. As Mayhew (1983: pp. 13, 16) type 1a-d. 'Brabantini', which imitated voided long-cross pennies, date to the 1270s and 1280s and precede the common sterling imitations made during the reign of Edward I.

A Medieval silver hammered cut half coin dating to between 1275 and 1294AD. It is a Brabant long cross sterling known as a brabantinus. Issued by Duke John I of Brabant (see notes). Obverse is a lion rampart in a triangular shield, and the reverse is a voided long cross with the legend WALT in the quarters. The width is 8.5mm, and the diameter 18mm.
