An early-medieval silver penny of Edmund (939-946), 'two-line' type (HT1; North 688), moneyer: Aethelmund. Ref: North 1994: 138. Obverse small cross pattee within a circle surrounded by the inscription EDMUND REX. The obverse is double struck. Reverse: moneyer's name in two lines divided by a line of three crosses in the centre, trefoil of pellets above and below. AÐELM/VNDMO (the ETH are Ligatured)
