A Medieval silver half groat of Henry VI (AD 1422-1461), dating AD 1422-1427. North no. 1429. Young bust facing forward, with annulets either side of the neck and trefoils in the field. Insription reads hENRIC . D . G . REX . ANGL . Z . F. Reverse shows long cross patee with three pelletsin each quarter, with two opposing pellet clusters being connected by an annulet. The inscription reads POSVI / DEVM : / ADIVTOR / E MEVM // VIL / LA : / CAL / IS :. The colons are formed of two crosses. Minted in Calais. Dimensions: diameter: 21.62 mm; weight: 1.93g.
