An incomplete and cracked Medieval coin; a half groat of Henry VI, first reign (AD 1422 - 1461), Rosette Mascle issue dating from about AD 1427 - 1430. Mint of Calais. See North Volume 2 (1991), page 76, number 1448. The coin is 22.1mm diameter, 0.7mm thick and weighs 1.63g. There is a scetion of the flan missing from 3o'clock to 7o'clock on the obverse, and there is a crack in the flan starting at the 9o'clock position and running inwards and downwards for 8.3mm.
