A Silver groat of Henry VI (AD 1422-1461), Rosette-Mascle issue (1427-1430), standard type F. Initial mark on obverse cross IIIb, on reverse cross V. Mint of Calais. A parallel can be found in North (1991, no. 1446). The coin measures 27mm in diameter, is 0.7mm thick and weighs 0.33g. The coin has been bent, obscuring part of the obverse and reverse legends. A silver Medieval penny of probably Henry VI, c. 1422-1471 AD. The obverse shows a crowned bust facing within an inner circle, annulets to each side of the bust. This would indicate that it would be a Henry VI coin minted at Calais. However, the reverse is minted CIVI, not VIL as would be expected for Calais.
