A complete silver sixpence of James I Second Coinage, Fourth bust, initial mark escallop, AD1606.  North 2103. The coin is 25.3mm in diameter, 0.6mm thick and weighs 2.4g.  It is bent upwards approximately horizontally near the centre of the obverse and folded back at the bottom edge.  This is similar to the folding often found on coins used as love tokens, although not so pronounced on this particular coin.
