A post medieval silver coin; a sixpence of James I (AD 1603 - 1625) dating from 1603, first issue, first or second bust. North number 2074 or 2075.
Obverse: A crowned bust facing right. Surrounding this bust, there are beaded circles and a legend. To the left of the bust, the numeral "VI" is prominently displayed. The obverse inscription reads: "[IAC]OBVS.D.[G.ANG].SCO.FRA.ET HIB.REX."
