A complete early medieval silver penny of Edward the Confessor (1042-1066), dating to the period AD 1062 - 1065. Moneyer FOLIPINE (FOLCWINE) on SVDB (Sudbury). Obverse is bust facing, crowned and bearded. Obverse inscription EADDARD REX (variant of N830). Reverse is a small cross with radiating terminals ( variant of N830 ). Reverse inscription +FOLIPINE (FOLCWINE) on SVDB.
