A complete Roman silver denarius of Nero (AD 54-68), dating to AD 64-65, Reece Period 3. Description: This denarius is the IVPPITER CVSTOS reverse type and minted in Rome. Obverse: Laureate head right, the inscription reads IMP [NERO CAESAR] AVGVSTVS. Reverse: Jupiter seated left, holding thunderbolt and sceptre, the inscription reads IVPPITER CVSTOS. Measurements: Diameter: 17.2 mm; Thickness: 1.99 mm and Weight: 3.01 g. Discussion: See Seaby, No.123 and RIC I, No.53.
