A silver Medieval coin; a bent long cross penny probably of Edward I (1272 - 1307), possibly class 6b (1292 - 1296) but difficult to see, so the identification is not secure. Mint of Canterbury. There is an error or double-strike in the obverse legend: EDW R ANGL DNA [...] and the reverse legend CIVITAS TORTOR. See North number 1031 on page 30 of Volume II. The coin, is 17.3mm in diameter, 9.8mm thick in it's bent form and weighs 1.31g.  The metal of the coin is 0.6mm thick.
