A medieval silver penny of Edward IV, first reign (1461-1470). It is of the light coinage, struck at Durham Episcopal mint for the benefit of Bishop Lawrence Booth. As is usual with these coins, it is short of flan and has been clipped. It is 16.7mm long, 13.7mm wide and 0.8mm thick. It weighs 0.75gm. Reference: North, volume 2, number 1602.
