A hammered silver groat of Edward IV (1461-1485). The coin is from the light coinage period 1464-70. The obverse has the bust facing within a tressure of nine arches and the reverse has a long cross pattée dividing legends with three pellets in each quadrant. The coin is severely clipped with much of the outer legends removed.
