Reverse: CIVI/TAS/DVR/EME; Long cross dividing the inscription with three pellets in each quadrant. Diameter: 18.6mm. Weight: 1.18g. DA=12:3. Chance surface find during metal detecting. A clipped silver penny of Henry V dating to the period AD 1413 - 1422. Long cross reverse. Mint of Durham. North Vol 2, p.71, no.1407. The obverse design is a central forward-facing bust with a trifoliate crown with a mullet to the left of the crown and a broken annulet to the right. The surface is very worn and the edges have been clipped. The reverse is a long cross with three pellets clustered in each corner, one with an annulet, within a beaded circle. The diameter of the coin is 15.15mm and the thickness of the coin is 0.88mm. The weight of the coin is 0.73g.

Silver penny of Stephen I a rare variant. Recorded by Dr Martin Allen at the Fitzswilliam museum on the EMC database as EMC 2017-0216. Dr Allen states that 'there are only 11 known coins from that die, and it is the first to be recorded on the EMC database. It's a Durham mint, north east variant, moneyer Fobund. A coin from that die is in the British Museum, BMC 252. The diameter is 19mm
