A Medieval silver penny probably of Edward I (AD 1272-1307). Uncertain class, possibly Durham mint. The obverse of the coin is extremley worn and has a number of scratches running off-centre. The coin is chipped around the edge and also appears to have been bent into a slight S-shape.
Overall dimensions: 17.70mm in diameter, 0.65mm in thickness and 1.18g in weight.
