An unclipped contemporary copy of a Roman siliqua of Honorius, AD393-423. This coin is copying a coin minted at Aquileia, Reece period 21. Reverse legend reads VRBS ROMA. Reverse shows Roma seated right, holding spear and Victory on globe. Obverse shows pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right. Obverse legend read DN HONORIVS PF AVG. Reverse fields and exergue read: -/-//AQLP dot. Condition is very fine, die axis is 12 o'clock, weight is 1.32g, diameter is 16.85mm. Find of Note: this unusual contemporary copy is not present in the Hoxne Hoard.
