A Post Medieval silver Groat of Henry VIII. The silver has completely blackened from corrosion but the features are still visible and in good condition. The obverse has a right facing bust of Henry with a crown and a cross on top. Double saltires separate each word on the legend. The reverse has the coat of arms, separated by a long cross. Like the obverse, the words are separated by a double saltire. The initial marks is a rose, which could meant that this coin was minted in the tower or Cantebury.
