A damaged and incomplete Early Medieval silver penny of Plegmund, Archbishop of Canterbury (AD 890-923), Two-Line/Horizontal type, Class I (c. AD890-95; North 254/BMC 63), moneyer: Hunferth, mint: Canterbury. Ref: North 1994: 80. The coin has a small chip at 2 o'clock on the obverse. It then has more severe chips along its circumference between 6 and 10 o'clock with a small irregular hole just below the centre at 6 o'clock. The coin is also bent into a shallow V-shape being bent between 10 and 5 o'clock as seen from the reverse.
