A broken Post Medieval base silver halfgroat of Edward VI (1547-1553) in the name of Henry VIII dating to AD 1547-1551. No initial mark, probably minted at Bristol. North (1991,119) no. 1880. The coin has a large chip on its edge on the left when looking at the bust and a small section has broken off opposite this, along a probable crack as the break is patinated.
