A complete but very worn Roman Republican silver denarius of Mark Anthony, dating to c.32-31BC. It is Legionary coinage made by a travelling mint. The obverse is so worn that no detail could be discerned, but it would have probably depicted two legionary standards with an eagle between them and named a specific legion.The reverse shows a galley with banners but is struck slightly off flan; no legends are visible. A complete silver legionary type Roman Republican denarius, issued for Mark Anthony and the 11th legion in c. 32-31 BC (Reece Period 1), travelling mint with moneyer. Reverse; legionary eagle between two standards, LEG XI between. RCC p. 541, no. 544/25. At a bankers mark has been punched into the reverse of the coin, while at least two are present on the obverse. The coin demonstrates a reasonable amount of wear, although all the key details are visible.
