A silver, Roman Republican Denarius, minted by Mark Anthony, legionary issue for the VIII (8th) legion. Obverse: a depiction of a Roman galley facing right. Inscription: ANT AVG [III VIR R P C]. Reverse: a depiction of a legionary eagle in the centre, with two standards either side. Inscription: LEG VIII. The condition of the coin is good, with only patches of minor ware.

A crescent-shaped bankers mark has been stamped into the obverse, and aside from some wear on this face the coin survives in reasonable condition.
