Coin. Halfpenny, Irish (identified by finder). Issue of Edward I (1272-1307) probably between 1279-1300, possibly Waterford Mint.
Obverse description: Crowned bust facing with trifoliate crown and drapery of angled wedges, within downward pointing triangle. Trifoliate crown suggests Classes 1-9; this is consistent with legend.
Obverse inscription: EDWR/ANGL:D/?NShY?, the S - if that is what it is - made of assorted wedges, which could suggest Classes 1 to 3e, 3g and 7.
Reverse description: Long cross, three pellets in each quadrant.
