Obverse: [GVLIEL]MVS [III DEI GRA]; Laureate and draped bust facing right, y below bust. Reverse: [96 MAG BR FRA ET HIB REX 16]; [Four shields within which are a harp, one lion rampant, three lions passant and three fleurs-de-lis, all around a central circle with the lion of Nassau within, creating a cruciform shape]. Diameter: 25.1mm. Weight: 4.92g. DA=12:6.

A milled Post-Medieval silver shilling of William III of England (1689-1702). The obverse has "GVILELMVS III DEI GRA" with William III facing right. Underneath the bust is the York mint mark. The reverse has 5 cruciform shields (bearing the heraldry of England, Scotland, Ireland, Holland and France) with "MAG BR. FRA. ET. HIB. REX." written across the perimiter and the minting date of 1697 The coin is very worn and corroded. It has a die axis of 1 O'Clock.
