Part of the flan is bent and at the opposite side, the edge badly chipped in places.

A broken fragment of an early-medieval silver penny of Aethelstan (924-939), 'Buildings Type' (North 683), moneyer: Etram (or Martin, retrograde); mint: York. Ref: North 1994: 137; Naismith 2017: 201-2 & pl.57 no1494D.
Approximately a third of the coin survives giving the moneyer name of the reverse but nothing of the building design, probably a church, remains.
