An incomplete silver early-medieval penny of Harold I. This coin can be dated to the period Spring 1036 to Autumn 1037, a period in which Harold was acting as regent for his half-brother Harthacnut (North 1963, 121; ref. 802). Unfortunately this relatively rare coin has suffered a circumferential loss and some wear.
