Silver penny, William I (1066-87), Bonnet type, North 842, c.1068-70, mint: Wilton, moneyer: Godric. The image was seen by Martin Allen who states; "There is only one other BMC type ii coin of the Wilton moneyer Godric in the the EMC/SCBI database: a coin in the Yorkshire Museum (SCBI 21, 1184) from the same reverse die, which confirms that the full reading is +GODRIC ON PILTVN".
