Medieval silver halfpenny of Edward III, Class 8b, minted at Berwick-Upon-Tweed c.1333-1342.
The obverse has a facing crowned bust of the king with trifoliate crown, inscription EDWARDVS D G; reverse has a long cross with three pellets in two quarters and a bear's head in the other two, inscription VILLA BERVICI.
The coin is in fair condition, is 0.5mm thick, 12mm in diameter and weighs 0.26g.
