A worn Roman contemporary copy of a nummus of Valentinian I (AD 364-75) or Valens (AD 364-78). Reverse: Emperor standing facing, holding labarum in right hand and victory on globe in left. Minted at Thessalonica, AD 364-367 (Reece period 19). This appears to be a cast forgery in some base metal alloy. Legends not read. It is not clear which coin was being forged as very similar pieces occur in gold, silver and bronze.
