Obverse: helmeted and armoured bust left holding sceptre, +hAR-OLD REX. Reverse: voided long cross with limbs united at their bases by a circle enclosing a pellet, in each angle of the cross a lis between two pellets, +LE:/OFR/IC O/[NO]R (?).

Martin Allen writes: "This is an excellent example of the Bust Crowned type of Eadmund (939-946) by the Norwich moneyer Manticen, who also produced the Bust Crowned type for Athelstan (924/5-39). The reverse, which is from the same die as a coin in the Norwich Castle Museum (SCBI 26,1118) reads MANTICEN MO NORPC.
