A medieval silver short cross cut halfpenny Henry II, short cross coinage (c.1180-1247AD), North 963, short cross class1b (c.1180-1189). Minted at Northampton by Simvnd. It is cut along the lines of the voided short cross, roughly cutting the obverse 7-1 o'clock. The reverse has standard quatrifoils in the quarters however the 4th of one is not properly formed.
Measurements: 17.76mm long (orignal Diameter), 9.04mm wide, 1.26mm thick and 0.78g in weight.

Silver penny from Henry III, AD1216-1272. Class IIb, long cross type AD1247-1272. SPINK (2004, no. 151) and North no. 985. The coin is slightly bent along one edge. Obverse shows the bust of Henry III facing forward without the sceptre. Star mint mark can be seen and inscription reads heNRICVS REX TERCI. The X in REX is formed of two straight lines, putting it on class IIb (Wren, 1993, 49). Reverse is divided into four quadrants by a voided long cross, with each containing three pellets. Inscription reads LVC / AS O / N N / ORh, indicating the moneyer Lucas from Northampton.
