The beard is formed of 3 pellets to each side of a central chin pellet. The inscription reads HENRICVSREXIII. The reverse shows a long-cross voided with 3 pellets in each angle. The inscription is partially lost through wear but NO/RhA/LV[CAS] reads referring to Lvcas the moneyer of Northampton. Therefore the coin is class IIIa/b AD 1248-1250.
