An extremely worn Post-Medieval copper alloy farthing, dating from the reign of Charles I (AD 1625-1649). The coin is potentially a Maltravers or Richmond farthing, depicting a crown over crossed sceptres. However, it is extremely worn and quite small. Obverse description: Crown with double arch; crossed sceptres through the crown. Heavily worn. Obverse inscription: [CAROLVS D G MAG] BRIT. An incomplete, Post-Medieval copper alloy farthing, dating from the reign of Charles I (AD 1625-1649). A chip is missing from 12 o’clock to around 4 o’clock, the surface is quite worn, and there is some corrosion. There is also a 4.46mm long fracture at 9 o’clock.
