A plated silver post-Medieval groat of Edward VI (1547-1553) in the name of Henry VIII. Irish issue from the Dublin mint, Spink (2003) No. 6488 with half right bust of the late 'Tower' issues of Henry VIII, dating 1547-c.1550. Coin is bent and mishaped, in places the silver plating has come away to show the poor quality copper-alloy core.
Measurements: 25.23mm in diameter, 0.68mm thick (not including warping) and 2.08g in weight.
