A Medieval Irish silver penny from the reign of Edward I (AD 1272-1307), dating AD 1280-1294. Part of the edge of the coin is missing from 1 o'clock to around 3 o'clock and around 10 o'clock. Obverse description: Crowned bust facing forward with trefoil of pellets on the breast set within a triangular beaded border. Obverse inscription: EDW.R/ANGL'D/NS HYB. Reverse description: Long cross with three pellets in each angle. Reverse inscription: CIVI/TAS/WATE/RFOR. Diameter: 18.85mm. Thickness: 0.78mm. Die axis: 10.
