Silver twenty pence coin of Charles I (1625-1649), Third coinage (1637-1642) issued by John Falconer in Edinburgh, Scotland. The coin is marked with the initial F above the crown on the reverse, which was the mark of John Falconer, the son-in-law of the French moneyer Nicholas Briot, who became the master of the Scottish mint in 1633 and was joined by Falconer later and succeeded Briot in 1646.
