Spink (2003) number 5035 - 5038, page 15. The coin is 16.6mm long, 7.8mm wide, 0.6mm thick and weighs 0.57g.
Th finder reports that the moneyer is Pieres, and the coin is obverse 5, reverse 8 according to an article in British Numismatic Journal 2020.

It is perhaps of Alexander II, Short cross phase D, dating from AD 1235, as the bust appears to face left and be without a sceptre. Possibly mint of Roxburgh. Spink (2003) number 5037. The coin is 16.3mm long, 8.8mm wide, 0.5mm thick and weighs 0.56g.

A silver hammered Scottish penny of Alexander II (1214-1249). The coin belongs to the Class II catagory and dates to 1235-1249. Mint is Roxburgh. Obverse shows an uncrowned bust of king facing left. Obverse legend reads ALEXANDER [RE]X. The reverse shows a double-stranded short cross (described in Calligas: 1999, page 48 as a 'voided short cross') with a 6-pointed star in each quarter. The reverse legend is ADA[ ] AND[REW] ON R for 'Adam and Andrew of Roxburgh.'
Die Axis is 6 o'clock. Weight is 1.32g, diameter is 19.42mm, thickness is 0.80mm.
